Grange Motors
Grange Motors is a register MOT testing station and is monitored by the Vehicle and Operator and Services Agency (VOSA). An MOT is not only a legal requirement for vehicles over three years old, it should also be viewed as vehicle health check to provide assurance that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy (at the time of test). As part of the MOT testing process, we assess and test a wide variety of components in your car. These are often simple things such as your lights, seatbelts, or more vital components such as steering and suspension and braking systems. These should be checked on a regular basis for yours and your families safety.
The MOT also requires the assessment and testing of your vehicles exhaust system, exhaust emissions, tyre conditions and tread depth. Not only are these essential for the proper and safe functioning of your vehicle, poorly maintained components and tyres can have a huge impact on vehicle efficiency, performance and causes unnecessary environmental damage.
The MOT should always be considered as an additional test of road worthiness in conjunction with a regular service. It is required by law and cars without MOT's are not insured whilst driven unless they have a special exemption. The MOT testing system has recently been changed and is now computerised with each vehicles details maintained on a central database and a new style MOT certificate. With the new certificate, you can now tax your vehicle online.
As a VOSA authorised and monitored garage, our standards are monitored and tested ensuring that your car is safe and roadworthy to drive. Our test certificates and VOSA information are on display in the public area of our garage as required by law and for your re-assurance.
